She is so young and promising,&quot; said coach Edmundo Cardano. &quot;And we believe that this is the start of the Philippine team’s solid campaign here in weightlifting.&quot;Colonia lifted 68kg in the snatch, which put her behind Thailand&#x27;s Khemika Kamnoedsri (72kg) and Oo (71kg).Kamnoedsri faltered on all her lifts in the clean and jerk, while Colonia successfully lifted 80 kg before no-lifting at 83kg. Oo, meanwhile, was successful in all her lifts, the last at 93kg to clinch the gold medal.Lovely Inan made it two silvers for the Philippine weightlifting team on Saturday when she placed second in the women&#x27;s 49kg weight class.Inan&#x27;s combined lift of 178kg was well behind the 191kg lifted by Thailand gold medalist Sanikun Tanasan. Indonesia&#x27;s Luluk Wijiyana placed third (173kg).Inan lifted 78kg in the snatch and needed two tries to lift 100kg in the clean and jerk. John Ceniza added another silver from the men&#x27;s 61kg class, with his total lift of 297kg. He placed behind Indonesia&#x27;s Eko Yuli Irawan (303kg).Ceniza lifted 128kg in the snatch and 169kg in the clean and jerk.Still set to see action in weightlifting on Saturday are John Ceniza in the men&#x27;s 61kg and Lovely Inan in the women&#x27;s 49kg.Rosalinda Faustino will compete Sunday in the women&#x27;s 55kg event, Dave Pacaldo in the men&#x27;s 67kg category and Tokyo Olympian Elreen Ann Ando in the women&#x27;s 59kg class.Reigning SEA Games gold winner Vanessa Sarno competes on Monday in the women&#x27;s 71kg class while John Dexter Tabique will see action in the men&#x27;s 89kg category on Tuesday, along with Kristel Macrohon in the women&#x27;s +71kg event. Cardano expects Sarno to reign anew and believes the weightlifting team will deliver more medals.&quot;We are expecting more medals to come tomorrow and Monday.
