<p>Filipino Tekken 7 player Andreij &quot;PBE Doujin&quot; Albar placed 9th in the Battle Arena Melbourne TEKKEN7 tournament held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) in Australia Saturday.</p><div><script src="https://connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&amp;version=v2.5" async="" type="text/javascript"></script></div><div class="fb-post" data-href="https://www.facebook.com/PBEsportsteam/photos/a.265379833824773/875157626180321" data-width="auto"> </div><p>Albar, who uses Tekken 6 protagonist Lars, was inches away from qualifying for the quarterfinals but fell short against Nakayama &quot;Nobi&quot; Daichi&#x27;s Dragunov, losing 2-1 in the battle for the Top 8 bracket.</p><p>Some 258 players participated in the tournament.</p><p>Albar&#x27;s standing in the tournament gave him extra points to qualify for the TEKKEN World Tour in Bangkok, to be held later this year.</p><p>Albar currently ranks 6th worldwide and 3rd in the Asia-Pacific with 295 points.</p>
