PBA Media Bureau</figcaption></figure></div>DIGOS CITY—Baser Amer scored 22 points, Mark Barroca added 20 and Team Mindanao blitzed the Gilas Pilipinas team for 18 straight points in the fourth quarter to win 144-130 in the first stop of the PBA All Star series at Davao del Sur Coliseum here on Wednesday.Up 106-103 at the 11:04 mark of the fourth, Mindanao rained 3-pointers courtesy of Amer, Carlo Lastimosa and even Sonny Thoss to extend the lead to 124-103 in a span of 3 minutes.Mindanao kept the pressure on the rest of the way to upset the taller, more star-studded national team dubbed the Smart PBA All Stars.“I didn’t think that we had the chance to win but I’m just shocked that we won and I’m really happy for it,” Tim Cone said.All in all, Mindanao shot 18 of 40 from behind the arc for 45% while Smart made 11 of 31 (35.5%).Amer and Barroca each had 4 triples, while Lastimosa and RR Garcia tallied 3 each.June Mar Fajardo led all scorers with 34 points and 14 rebounds, while Japeth Aguilar chipped in 25 points for the Smart squad.“Halos lahat ng tinira ko libre,” Amer said. “Sabi kasi ni coach Tim sa &#x27;min kelangan &#x27;yung spacing namin sa loob maganda tapos &#x27;yung ball movement namin maganda.
