MANILA, Philippines — With his move to the UAAP women&#x27;s division, multi-titled coach Oliver Almadro will finally get a chance to match wits with the man who helped him get started in volleyball — De La Salle University coach Ramil de Jesus.Almadro, after five years at the helm of the Ateneo men&#x27;s volleyball team, was named coach of the Lady Eagles on Thursday, replacing Thai coach Anusorn &quot;Tai&quot; Bundit.<ul class="op-related-articles">	<li><a href="http://news.abs-cbn.com/sports/05/24/18/uaap-volleyball-oliver-almadro-embraces-new-challenge-with-lady-eagles">Oliver Almadro embraces new challenge with Lady Eagles</a></li></ul>This &quot;promotion&quot; puts Almadro in a collision course with de Jesus, who brought the fiery coach from Letran and into La Salle&#x27;s women&#x27;s volleyball program two decades ago.&quot;Halos lahat ng alam ko sa volleyball came from him,&quot; said Almadro, who served as de Jesus&#x27; lieutenant until 2007 before getting a head coaching break of his own.&quot;I&#x27;m very blessed na makatapat ko si coach Ramil,&quot; he added.De Jesus&#x27; incredible La Salle program has dominated the UAAP for 20 years; he has steered the Lady Spikers to 11 women&#x27;s volleyball crowns, including the last three. But for a while, de Jesus found a match in Bundit, whose fast-paced style and &quot;happy, happy&quot; mantra led to two titles for Ateneo in Seasons 76 and 77.Almadro is not one to promise that he will give de Jesus the same challenge that Bundit did. Instead, he only hopes to keep learning from his old mentor.&quot;Para sa akin, great coaches will just push me forward.
