Courtesy of FIBA website</figcaption></figure></div>MANILA, Philippines—Serbia has been the traditional powerhouse in 3x3 basketball for a while now, and there is no reason to think that its run of dominance will stop in the 2018 FIBA 3x3 Basketball World Cup.Winners of three of the last four 3x3 World Cups, including the last two, Serbia is the top seed this week and the odds-on favorite to win the entire tournament.And the Serbians are well aware of their status as the top team.&quot;We&#x27;ve won the championship three times, not (just) the last two years,&quot; said Dusan Bulut, arguably the best 3x3 player in the world. &quot;You can expect the same (this year).&quot;Bulut is currently ranked No. 3 in the world among players. He is joined by the No. 1 player in the world, Dejan Majstorovic, in the Serbian team, along with No. 2 ranked Marko Savić and No. 4 Stefan Stojačić.&quot;We have a similar roster,&quot; Bulut noted. &quot;And in Serbia, they tell you, usually they say that without a medal, you should not return home.&quot;Of these four, only Stojačić was not a part of the previous Serbia teams that dominated the 3x3 World Cup.But Bulut is confident that Stojačić&#x27;s entry into their team will be seamless; after all, they all hail from the same Novi Sad squad and practice together often.&quot;We know all about each other,&quot; he said. &quot;I think it won&#x27;t be a problem at all.&quot;Expected to give Serbia a challenge are second-ranked Slovenia and third-ranked Russia, and of course the hometown Philippine team is a sentimental favorite.However, Bulut is confident that none of the teams in the field can bring them down.&quot;I think ourselves (is our biggest threat),&quot; said the 6-foot-3 star. &quot;If we play our best game, I don&#x27;t think anybody can stop us.&quot;Bulut is no stranger to the Philippines, as he played in the 2014 Manila Masters at SM Megamall. That event was highly successful, with fans packing several levels of the mall to watch the action. The Serbian star hopes to get the same reception when they compete in the World Cup.&quot;It was amazing,&quot; Bulut said of the Manila Masters. &quot;I never felt something like that before in my life.&quot;&quot;It&#x27;s a blessing to be here,&quot; he also said. &quot;To put myself in a situation, to play in a World Cup in this arena, in front of probably 20,000 Filipino fans . . .
