She played in beast mode and carried the team,” Cignal head coach Edgar Barroga said.“We came in a bit relaxed because our opponents are already out of contention and then we realized that we cannot afford to lose this game because we might blow our opportunity for outright semifinals.”National pool member Mylene Paat scattered 10 kills and six blocks for 16 points, while Mumay Vivas notched six hits and playmaker Acy Masangkay made 21 excellent sets for the HD Spikers.Cignal will take a one-week break while waiting for its foe in the knockout semifinals.Meanwhile, Petron rebounded from an upset loss to Generika Ayala by hammering out a 25-16, 21-25, 25-20, 26-24 win over F2 Logistics.Bernadeth Pons scored 16 points for the Blazers while Mika Reyes had 13. They are now tied with Generika-Ayala, which handed the Blaze Spikers its first loss, with a 3-1 slate.
