Perpetual, meanwhile, failed to build up on a win against Mapua University last week, and dropped to 1-1 in the tournament.&quot;It was rough,&quot; CSB coach TY Tang said of the game, which featured a combined 57 fouls. &quot;I guess that&#x27;s how playoff games are.&quot;&quot;Right now, it&#x27;s just the beginning of the season. We got a 2-0 start, and we&#x27;re hoping we can build from that,&quot; he added.Perpetual had a 33-26 lead at the half, and were still up 37-33 midway through the third quarter when Carlo Young began to heat up for the Blazers. The Altas clawed their way back, getting as close as five points, 62-57, with still 4:24 left after two charities by Jielo Razon.That was when the game got away from Perpetual Help. They were called for three fouls in the next possession, with big man Ben Adamos fouling out of the game. That led to six free throws for CSB -- of which they made three -- and completely sapped the momentum from the Altas.Perpetual Help wound up giving up 15 free throws in the final 4:38 of the contest, as the game turned into a chippy affair. Jeff Egan was called for a technical foul for making contact with a referee, while Aldeo Lucero was called for an unsportsmanlike foul late in the game.On CSB&#x27;s side, Belgica also got called for an unsportsmanlike foul, but for the most part Tang was satisfied with how his players responded once the game turned rough.&quot;It&#x27;s part of our culture and our environment in practice. We want to stay physical with how we play, but at the same time, we want to make sure that if it goes chippy in there, we want to make sure that we&#x27;re mentally tough also,&quot; he explained.Belgica finished with 12 points on 5-of-6 shooting, while Justin Gutang bucked a poor shooting afternoon (9 points on 2-of-10 from the field) by dishing out 7 assists and grabbing 14 boards.
