Balipure got the first point in the second set off an ace of Alina Bicar but that was the last time they would be rejoicing in the second as the Cool Smashers flaunted a spiking party in the entirety of the set.Michele Gumabao caught fire unleashing bombs after bombs in what appeared to be a target practice for her, leading Creamline to 10-1 lead. Veteran setter Jia Morado gave the Water Defenders a little sigh of relief with a service error, 2-10, before the Cool Smashers dropped a fiery 14-0 run and ended it in the most lopsided way ever in the league’s history. It erased the previous PVL record set in 2019 when the same culprit Creamline crashed Chef’s Classic Red Spikers in the second set too, 25-5. They eventually swept the match, 25-12, 25-5, 25-15. Gumabao finished the match with 14 points in an impressive 12-of-16 in attacks while Alyssa Valdez led in scoring with 16 markers, four of which came in the service line. Meanwhile, Balipure saw their two-game winning streak to a tragic end with best player of the week Graze Bombita limited to measly 7 points in the match. The team holds a 2-2 win-loss record. <div> </div>
