PBA: June Mar takes home record 7th player of the conference award

<div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2018/sports/08/03/20180803-june.jpg?ext=.jpg"/><figcaption>Justin Brownlee of Barangay Ginebra and June Mar Fajardo of San Miguel Beer win the respective awards for best import and Master Sardines best player of the 2018 PBA Commissioner&#x27;s Cup. <em>PBA Media Bureau</em></figcaption></figure></div><h3>Justin Brownlee wins best import</h3><p>San Miguel Beer&#x27;s June Mar Fajardo and Barangay Ginebra&#x27;s Justin Brownlee took home the top two individual honors in the PBA Commissioner&#x27;s Cup.</p><p>They received their respective plaques in a short ceremony before Game 4 of the finals at Araneta Coliseum on Friday night.</p><p>Fajardo extended to 7 the league record for the most number of player of the conference awards.</p><p>Former San Miguel player Danny Ildefonso is at second place all-time with 5.</p><p>Fajardo handily defeated contenders Vic Manuel of Alaska, Chris Newsome of Meralco, and Stanley Pringle and Sean Anthony of GlobalPort.</p><p>Meanwhile, Brownlee won best import, edging out San Miguel&#x27;s Renaldo Balkman.</p><p>According to PBA chief statistician Fidel Mangonon III, Brownlee is the seventh Ginebra reinforcement to win the award, and the first since Nate Brumfield in the 2011 Commissioner&#x27;s Cup.</p><p>For more sports coverage, visit the <a href="http://sports.abs-cbn.com">ABS-CBN Sports website</a>.<br/> </p>
