Ueslei Marcelino, Reuters</figcaption></figure></div>MANILA, Philippines -- Filipino boxer Carlo Paalam stands to receive millions in rewards after his second-place finish in men&#x27;s flyweight in the Tokyo Olympics.Coming home with a silver medal from his maiden Olympics campaign, Paalam will receive P5 million from the government as mandated by Republic Act 10699.The MVP Sports Foundation and San Miguel Corp. chairman Ramon S. Ang will also give P5 million each, and Congressman Mikee Romero will give P2 million as well. If there are more than one coach, the incentives will be divided among them.Rep. Abraham &quot;Bambol&quot; Tolentino, president of the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC), assured that the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) will also take care of the coaches.&quot;PSC ang meron diyan,&quot; he said.Paalam, who defeated the reigning Olympic champion en route to the gold medal match, has expressed his deep appreciation for coach Elmer Pamisa, the man who discovered him as a youngster in Cagayan de Oro and helped mold him into a world-class boxer.
