PBA: Talk 'N Text seizes 3-1 lead vs Magnolia, now a win away from finals

<div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img alt="PBA Images" src="https://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2022/sports/08/10/20220810-erram.jpg"/><figcaption><em>PBA Images</em></figcaption></figure></div><p>Defending champion Talk &#x27;N Text is now just a win away from returning to the PBA Philippine Cup finals after manhandling Magnolia in Game 4 on Wednesday.</p><p>The Texters outscored the Hotshots by 18 points in a dominant 102-84 win to grab a commanding 3-1 series lead in their best-of-seven semis clash.</p><p>With Magnolia putting more emphasis on defending Mikey Williams and Jayson Castro, the likes of Poy Erram and Roger Pogoy took advantage.</p><p>Erram came off the bench with 19 points and 13 rebounds for TNT. Pogoy had 18 markers, while Troy Rosario scored 15.</p><p>Williams made his presence felt in the second half, finishing with 15 points.</p><p>&quot;&#x27;Yung bigs kasi, iniiwan nila. So &#x27;yung mga coaches gumawa ng paraan na ma-open kami... Nao-overlook kaming mga bigs. Pero alam namin makakatulong pa kami sa team,&quot; said Erram.</p><p>Rebounding was also a big factor for TNT. The Texters outrebounded the Hotshots, 50-43, unlike in their previous encounters, and resulted to a dominant showing by TNT, which led by as much as 26.</p><p>&quot;We always look at the defensive adjustments we can make, how they&#x27;re scoring against us,&quot; said TNT coach Chot Reyes. &quot;The focus really is to make stops. Secondly, we limit our turnovers. We knew that Magnolia will come out hard, but these guys are ready.&quot;</p><p>Ian Sangalang topscored Magnolia with 19, while Paul Lee added 17.
