San Beda’s Robert Bolick and Letran’s Bong Quinto will be the players to watch when the Saints clash with the Heroes in the NCAA Season 94 all-star game at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan on Friday.
The side events that include the skills challenge, shooting stars, 3-point shootout and slam dunk contest begin at 2 p.m., followed by the Saints-Heroes game at 4 p.m.
Just last week, Bolick and Quinto shared the spotlight with the former unleashing a 50-point effort and the latter dropping two straight triple-double performances, a pair of showings that should please Saints coach Boyet Fernandez.
Bolick’s scoring splurge set a new record as the second highest scoring output in a game next to the late Lim Eng Beng’s 55 points in 1974 while Quinto’s was the first triple-double game since Arellano’s Jio Jalalon accomplished such feat three seasons back.

Bolick and Quinto will play side by side with San Sebastian’s Michael Calisaan and Allyn Bulanadi, Letran’s JP Calvo, San Beda’s Javee Mocon and Saint Benilde’s Edward Dixon.
Completing the cast are Benilde’s JJ Domingo and Luigi Velasco, Letran’s Christian Fajarito, San Beda’s Ranbill Tongco, San Sebastian’s Alvin Capobres, and Perpetual Help’s Jielo Razon, AJ Coronel and Kim Aurin.
Aurin and Razon were last-minute replacements for Prince Eze and Edgar Charcos.
Perez, who has a strong chance of winning a second straight MVP award, was not included in the roster along with Cameroonian Mike Nzeusseu for the Heroes, who will be led by Lyceum twins Jaycee and Jayvee Marcelino.
Also part of the Topex Robinson-coached Heroes are Arellano’s Levi dela Cruz, Ian Alban and Michael Canete; Emilio Aguinaldo’s Jerome Garcia, Enrico Diego and Jesse Bautista, Jr.; Mapua’s Warren Bonifacio, Lawrence Victoria and Cedric Pelayo; Lyceum’s Kim Cinco; and Jose Rizal’s Jed Mendoza, Karl Bordon and Richard David.
Former collegiate stars Jalalon, Rey Nambatac of Letran and ex-MVP John Wilson of JRU will spice up the one-day festivity, which aims to generate funds to fund NCAA athletes loaned to the national teams as well as its charitable missions, as they compete in the shooting stars.
