He had a stint in the PBA D-League last year, playing for the AMA Titans.He nearly quit basketball after that, but was instead signed by the Road Warriors, where he has since been making the most of his return to the PBA.On Sunday, he came up with the best game of his professional career, as he had 21 points, four assists, a steal, and a block in NLEX&#x27;s 109-99 victory over the GlobalPort Batang Pier.Tiongson was at his best in the final period, as he knocked down four of his five three-pointers in the frame to give the Road Warriors the separation they needed against a GlobalPort team that was playing without Stanley Pringle.<ul class="op-related-articles">	<li><a href="http://sports.abs-cbn.com/basketball/news/2017/09/04/guiao-can-finally-afford-jokes-nlex-nears-playoff-bonus-30544">READ: Guiao can finally afford jokes as NLEX nears playoff bonus</a></li></ul>The 26-year-old Tiongson thus went on to earn his first-ever citation as PBA Player of the Week.In doing so, he beat the likes of Ginebra big men Greg Slaughter and Japeth Aguilar, Alaska forward Calvin Abueva, Blackwater center JP Erram and guard Mike DiGregorio, the TNT tandem of Jayson Castro and Roger Pogoy, as well as GlobalPort&#x27;s Sean Anthony and Terrence Romeo.Tiongson is now averaging career-high numbers of 8.0 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in the conference.NLEX won’t be back in action till September 13 when it faces sister team TNT, before facing Star on September 24 in the final playdate of the eliminations.Winning both games will give the Road Warriors one of the top 4 spots in the quartefinals that includes a twice-to-beat incentive.
