Santino Honasan, ABS-CBN Sports</div></figcaption></figure></div>CARSON, California -- Fight night is getting close and three ALA fighters have plenty at stake when they climb into the ring on Saturday.As he tries to go up the ranks and score big fights with some of top pound-for-pound boxers, it will be the first 112-pound fight for Donnie Nietes, who is taking on former titlist Edgar Sosa.“Malaking tulong talaga ‘to kasi hinahanap ko biggest names. So talaga ng malaking tulong makalaban ko siya,” said Nietes. “Very comfortable ako sa katawan ko so walang problema.” (This fight will be a big help because I’m going after the biggest names. Fighting him is important. I’m also comfortable with my weight so there’s no problem.) Juan Jimenez has revenge on his mind when he takes on “King” Arthur Villanueva. Villanueva knocked out the Mexican when they accidentally clashed heads last May.But Villanueva doesn’t mind having another go at Jimenez. “Focus pa rin ako sa laban. Walang pressure,” he said. (I’m focused on the fight. There’s no pressure.)The 21-year old Mark Magsayo, meanwhile, wants to continue his unbeaten run when he faces Ramiro Robles. He has had several training sessions in Los Angeles for the past year.The highlight of his training is when famed boxing trainer Freddie Roach had a mitts session with him.“Masaya kasi nag training ako sa Wild Card pinunch mitt tayo ni Freddie Roach. Masaya talaga,” said Magsayo. (I’m happy because I was able to train at the Wild Card and had sessions with Freddie Roach.) This is the third time TFC and ALA are producing a US fight card.“We believe that boxing is not only a source of entertainment for Kapamilyas everywhere but also to show that there is talented Filipinos in the particular sport,” said Ray Olano, head of sales and distribution of ABS-CBN.While tickets are still available, the fight will also be available on tfc.tv pay-per-view and IPtv.While the three ALA fighters are headlining this weekend’s event, other local Filipino-American fighters will also be on the card setting up a jampacked night of Pinoy Pride.For more sports coverage, visit the <a href="http://sports.abs-cbn.com/">ABS-CBN Sports website</a>.
