Fallon, AFP/File </em></figcaption></figure></div><p>MAYNILA - Pagkatapos ng mahigit dalawang dekada, nag-retiro na sa pro boxing si Manny Pacquiao. </p><p>Sa isang video sa social media ngayong Miyerkoles, sinabi ni Pacquiao, na senador na ngayon, na mahirap na desisyon ang iwanan ang pinakamamahal niyang sport na nagpabago sa takbo ng kaniyang buhay. </p><p>&quot;It is difficult for me to accept that my time as a boxer is over. Today, I am announcing my retirement. Tapos na ang boxing.&quot;</p><p>Nagpasalamat ang boxing legend sa buong mundo, lalo na sa mga Pilipino, sa kaniyang natanggap na suporta. Inisa-isa rin niya ang mga tumulong sa kaniyang career, mula sa kaniyang mga manager, coach, at mga fan.</p><p>&quot;To my friend and trainer Freddie Roach, he was not just my coach but my family, a brother and a friend,&quot; ani Pacquiao. </p><p>&quot;‘To the boxing fans all over the world, thank you very much. Who would have thought Manny Pacquiao would end up with twelve major world titles in 8 weight divisions, hold the record of being the only boxer to win world titles in 4 weight classes,&quot; aniya. </p><p>Nagpasalamat din siya sa asawang si Jinkee at pamilya na laging nasa tabi niya, mula training at laban. </p><p>&quot;The lord gave me overflowing blessings. I can never thank Him enough for bestowing upon me and my beautiful wife and best friend Jinkee, and our five wonderful children,&quot; ani Pacquiao. </p><p>&quot;To Mommy D and my dad and my entire family, thank you for your unconditional love,&quot; dagdag niya.</p><p>Nagsimula sa professional boxing si Pacquiao sa edad na 16 noong Enero 1995, kung saan tinalo niya si Enting Ignacio sa four-round decision. </p><p>Unang naging world champion si Pacquiao taong 1998 nang mag-upset win kontra sa Thai boxer na si Chatchai Sasakul para makuha ang WBC Flyweight Champion. </p><p>Siya ang kaisa-isang boxer na humawak ng world title sa apat na dekada, at siya rin ang unang boxer na nanalo ng world title sa walong weight class. </p><p>Naging IBF Bantamweight Champion si Pacquiao nang talunin si Lehlohonolo Ledwaba taong 2001, at nag-umpisang sumikat sa world boxing arena nang talunin si Marco Antonio Barrera noong 2003. </p><p>Natalo rin niya ang mga Mexican champs gaya nina Juan Manuel Marquez para makuha ang featherweight belt, at si Erik Morales. </p><p>Tinalo naman niya si David Diaz taong 2008, at knock out win naman ang kaniyang nagawa kontra kay Ricky Hatton para makuha ang welterweight title. </p><p>Ginulat din ni Pacquiao ang boxing world nang matalo niya ang mga bigating sina Oscar De La Hoya at Sugar Shane Mosely.
