Hall of Famer Allen Iverson, who played the majority of his All-Star career in Philadelphia, wants to help the 76ers even more in some capacity.

In an interview with Bleacher Report, Iverson revealed he would like to get more involved and that he doesn't understand why he isn't a part of the organization.

"I'm a Sixer for life," Iverson said. "I got Sixer blood pumping through me. Everybody knows that I want to help that organization. I've been retired, what, 11 years? I don't know how I'm not a part of that staff in some kind of way."

Over a 14-year NBA career, Iverson averaged 26.7 points and 6.2 assists per game. He made 11 All-Star appearances and was voted the league MVP in 2000-01 after leading the 76ers to an appearance in the NBA Finals.

Iverson, 46, did not elaborate on what kind of role he is seeking if were to rejoin his old team.

"I will be the happiest in the world and the money thing ain't got nothing to do with it," Iverson said. "It's just me being me and me being a Sixer and wanting to help."
