Arvin Lim, <a href="https://sports.abs-cbn.com/uaap/basketball/photos">ABS-CBN Sports</a></figcaption></figure></div>MANILA, Philippines -- As his collegiate career came to an end, Arvin Tolentino found himself basking in applause of fans from not one, but two schools.Supporters of Far Eastern University (FEU) showered the sweet-shooting big man with praise, acknowledging him as the hero who brought the Tamaraws to the Final 4 of UAAP Season 81 with his big-time shot in their playoff game against De La Salle University last Wednesday.And the Ateneo de Manila University gallery also applauded Tolentino, who played the first two seasons of his UAAP career with the Blue Eagles.&quot;I just hope I made the FEU community proud, and my teammates proud, and my coaches,&quot; a somber Tolentino said after the game. &quot;Then of course, I was with Ateneo, and I hope naging proud din &#x27;yung Ateneo sa akin.&quot;<ul class="op-related-articles">	<li><a href="https://sports.abs-cbn.com/uaap/news/2018/11/25/ateneo-runs-roughshod-feu-en-route-uaap-81-finals-50291">READ: Ateneo runs roughshod on FEU en route to UAAP 81 finals</a></li></ul>Tolentino was a highly touted recruit coming out of San Beda University&#x27;s high school program, and made an immediate splash in his first year with the Blue Eagles. He averaged 8.0 points and 5.6 rebounds in Season 77, winning Rookie of the Year honors.But he saw his minutes dwindle in Season 78, and his numbers dropped to 5.1 points and 2.4 boards per game. Ahead of Season 79, he left the team due in part to academic reasons, and found his way to FEU.The Tamaraws made the Final 4 in his two seasons in the Morayta-based squad. In Season 80, he lifted the Tams to the semis by hitting the game-winning three-pointer against the Green Archers in a knockout game.However, his final game was far from memorable. He managed only 5 points on 2-of-4 shooting, and the Tams were crushed, 80-61, by the Blue Eagles to bow out of the Final 4.&quot;Nakita ko lang, si Thirdy (Ravena) &#x27;yung bumabantay, not the big guy,&quot; said Tolentino. &quot;Overall naman, they played great defense sa buong laro, not just on me but the whole team.&quot;&quot;Kudos to Ateneo for playing well,&quot; he said.He showed his respect to Ateneo by singing their school hymn, the Song for Mary, before approaching their crowd and thanking them as well.&quot;I was with Ateneo rin for two years, and they also cheered for me before,&quot; said Tolentino. &quot;I&#x27;m thankful din sa kanila.&quot;But he is most thankful for the FEU community, which welcomed him with open arms and stood by him throughout his low moments -- including a crucial turnover in their Final 4 game against Ateneo last year, and his two ejections in the elimination round this season.&quot;Gusto ko pasalamatan &#x27;yung FEU community for supporting us all the way,&quot; said Tolentino. &quot;In my two years dito sa FEU, sila &#x27;yung nagbibigay ng energy sa amin.&quot;The 22-year-old Tolentino intends to focus on his studies in FEU first before considering the next step in his basketball career.&quot;As of now, still undecided,&quot; he said. &quot;Me, my family and my agent, pag-uusapan pa namin what&#x27;s next.&quot;<div>For more sports coverage, visit the <a href="http://sports.abs-cbn.com">ABS-CBN Sports website</a>.</div>
