He was left sitting at the side of the track as the other sprinters raced for a spot in the finals.</p><p>Hours later, Cray, who is an Olympian, returned to the Athletics Stadium and propelled the Philippine team to gold in the first-ever 4x100 relay mixed gender.</p><p>&quot;I just wanted to make sure I got the candle. I had a mishap in the 100 [meter] so I&#x27;m kinda down on my self. Try to get my mind ready for the race, not to let my teammates down. Come out and run a good race. And get ready for the next 2 days. I guarantee you I want the gold on the last day (400m hurdles),&quot; he said.</p><p>According to the athlete, the gun sound was a little low so he misheard it and jumped out too early.</p><p>He is expected to race a few more events in the last two days of the games.</p><div><strong>For more sports stories, visit ABS-CBN Sports website.</strong></div>
