Mark Demayo, ABS-CBN News</figcaption></figure></div>SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga (UPDATE)—Meggie Ochoa defeated Le Dao of Vietnam to win the women&#x27;s -45 kg title in Southeast Asian Games Brazilian jiu-jitsu at Laus Group Convention Center here on Monday.Earlier, countryman Carlo Pena beat Rengga Richard of Indonesia for the Philippines&#x27; first gold in the martial art in these Games. Dean Roxas was the third Filipino fighter to triumph on the day, scoring two tap-outs en route to the men&#x27;s -85 kg gold.Ochoa battled the same Vietnamese fighter she beat in the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in 2017. The Filipina fighter left nothing to chance, shutting out Dao 13-0. “Ayaw kong mag-underestimate ng kalaban kahit tinalo ko siya sa AIMAG. Alam ko kasi ang bawat atleta nagpo-progress ’yan. So I’m always on my toes para masiguradong panalo,” Ochoa said. Ochoa, who won a gold in the 2018 Jiujitsu World Tour and a bronze in the 2018 Asian Games, said nothing beats the feeling of fighting in front of one’s countrymen. “Kahit sabihin ng mga tao na SEA Games lang ’yan, iba pa rin kasi kung lalaban ka sa sariling bayan. Kasi nandito ’yung mga taong mahal mo pinapanood ka, sinu-support ka,” she said.Roxas capped his performance with an ankle lock on Benjamin Chia of Singapore to win. “Alam namin ang tendency niya. He extends his leg back and when I saw it nanlaki ang mata ko and I just went for it,” he said. With the victory, Roxas avenged his loss to Chia in a previous tournament. “This is sweet. Especially in front of the hometown. No way they are going to defeat us in our home soil,” he said.Meanwhile, Marc Alexander Lim and Kaila Napolis each scored silver medals for the Philippines, while Gian Dee won a bronze.Action resume on Tuesday, as five more Filipinos take to the mat.Lined up for matches are Adrian Guggenheim (men&#x27;s -77 kg), Luigi Landera (men&#x27;s -94 kg), Lawrence Maiban (men&#x27;s -120 kg), Annie Ramirez (women&#x27;s -55 kg) and Aprul Eppinger (women&#x27;s -62 kg). <div>For more sports coverage, visit the <a href="http://sports.abs-cbn.com">ABS-CBN Sports website</a>.</div>
