Bay Area survived a gritty challenge by San Miguel Beer to secure a title showdown with Barangay Ginebra in the PBA Commissioner&#x27;s Cup Wednesday night.The Dragons bit the bullet to grind out a 94-92 victory to wrap up their best-of-5 semis series with the Beermen in 4 games.Andrew Nicholson exploded for 42 points, including the trey that gave Bay Area a 4-point breather with 1:33 to go before regulation.Nicholson capped his impressive outing with 21 rebounds and 4 assists.Kobey Lam added 26 points, while dethroning the defending champions.CJ Perez paced San Miguel with markers, even as Devon Scott fired 25 points to go with his 19 rebounds, and 8 assists.The game was close as it gets but the Beermen missed several crucial free throws that might have changed the outcome of the game.With the win, Bay Area will square off with Barangay Ginebra in a best-of-7 title series.
