MANILA -- University of Santo Tomas maintained its perfect slate in the 2024 Shakey's Super League Collegiate Pre-season Championship after a come-from-behind win against the University of the East on Sunday.

The Growling Tigresses got their bearings late to complete a reverse sweep of the Lady Warriors, 23-25, 23-25, 25-14, 25-17, 15-9, at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum.

Reigning UAAP Rookie of the Year Angge Poyos took over in the final set, scoring eight points, to power the Tigresses to a four-game sweep of the pool stage. Poyos finished with 28 points, including the match-clinching spike.

For the Lady Warriors, this was their first loss of the competition.
