The athletes of the Atletang Ayala Program, November 6, 2024. ABS-CBN NewsMANILA -- The Ayala Foundation introduced the second batch of athletes under its Atletang Ayala program at a welcome event on Wednesday in Makati, aiming to support and develop the next generation of Filipino sports leaders.

Among the athletes introduced were rower Joannie Delgaco, who competed in the Paris Olympics, and para-athlete Allain Ganapin, a taekwondo jin.

Launched in 2022, the Atletang Ayala program aims to support promising Filipino athletes, providing them with the resources to reach their full potential while offering career opportunities within the Ayala Group.

According to Mr. Zobel de Ayala, five athletes have graduated from the program, with three continuing to work with Ayala, one pursuing graduate studies in Europe, and another continuing their professional sports career.
