But we knew it will not happen right away, so slowly, slowly,&quot; Palou said to ABS-CBN News.</p><p>&quot;We saw it grew when we started with the Shakey&#x27;s V.League and it has kept on growing. We thought eventually talaga, dadami &#x27;yung fans ng volleyball,&quot; he added. &quot;In fact, ngayon, ang daming gustong sumali pero we just wanna limit it to twelve.&quot;</p><p>Twelve squads are the league&#x27;s limit, Palou emphasized.</p><p>Commissioner Sherwin Malonzo announced new rules that the league will implement for the upcoming tourney:</p><ul style="list-style-type:disc"><li>- Technical timeouts during 8th and 16th points, one minute each </li><li>- Two regular timeouts (30 seconds)</li><li>- During the video challenge, the players need to stay on the court. Coaches cannot talk to the players anymore</li><li>- Change of courts: Set 2 and eighth point in Set 5</li><li>- Green cards for sportsmanship and fair play.</li></ul><p>The format for this conference will be a single-round robin for the elimination round, while the semifinals will also be a single-round robin among the Top 4 teams.</p><p>A playoff match will be held in the event of a tie in the semis. The Finals and the bronze medal matches will be a best-of-three series.</p><p>The league will also hold the inaugural draft selection of players starting in June. </p><p>The only requirement to be eligible for the draft is to be 21 years old on the day of the selection process. Educational attainment would not matter, said Malonzo.</p><p>A salary cap will also be installed but the league will consult the teams first before its implementation, Palou said.</p><p>&quot;We&#x27;d really like to install a salary cap on the salaries and bonuses of the players. The way things going are, feeling namin is everything is getting out of hand. At the end of the day, it will be the teams that will be having difficulty in maintaining their own teams, right?&quot; Palou stressed.</p><p>&quot;So we&#x27;d really like to put everything on a reasonable level,&quot; he said further. </p><p>Games will also be aired on RPTV Channel 9, aside from Pilipinas Live app and One Sports.</p><p>The PVL Press Corps officers, who also took oath in the same event, will introduce the Player of the Week citations for the upcoming conference.</p><div><strong>RELATED VIDEO</strong></div><div><strong><ivs-player data-ivs-key="e8c22c015ca9eafa76f1e3edfa03c603" data-ivs-spid="3001339" data-ivs-vid="2960154"></ivs-player></strong></div><script src="https://player.ivideosmart.com/ivsplayer/v4/dist/js/loader.js">
