MANILA -- Blacklist International's Renejay "Renejay" Bacarse, and the tandem of Danerie James "Wise" Del Rosario and Johnmar "OhMyV33nus" Villaluna will take a break for MPL Season 13.

The three-time MPL Philippines champions made the announcement as they revealed a lean 7-man lineup for the upcoming season.

In its post about V33wise, Blacklist said the decision was mutual for both parties. Renejay, meanwhile, was sitting out due to personal commitments.

"The management of Blacklist International has mutually agreed with OhyMyV33nus and Wise for them to continue their hiatus from competitive play. They will take this time to focus on other endeavors such as streaming, content creation, and other professional matters," Blacklist International said of V33wise's absence.

Renejay became a crucial presence after V33wise decided to skip MPL Season 12. This will be Renejay's first time sitting out the league since he entered Nexplay Solid in Season 6.

Veterans Edward "Edward" Jay Dapadap, Salic "Hadji" Imam and Kiel "Oheb" Soriano will lead the team anew.

Meanwhile, a familiar face will be joining AP Bren as it pursues its quest to defend its title in MPL Philippines Season 13.

Robert “Trebor” Reyes will be filling in the void left by Vrendon “Vren” Lin, who moved to RRQ Hoshi recently.

“Everyone knows na nag-leave si Vren for RRQ so we looked for a tactical coach. Treb was already available along with Yawi, I think. Kinausap ko siya. Pinag-isipan pa niya, kasi maraming offers. Fortunately he said yes,” AP Bren head coach Francis “Duckey” Glindro told the press during their MPL Media Day schedule.

Vren was one of the integral pieces to AP Bren’s rise to the top last year. While the same could be said for Trebor under ECHO then, the assistant coach said he’s hungry to prove himself on home soil, despite having numerous offers abroad.

“Sobrang saya kasi hindi ko inaasahan na mapupunta ako sa AP Bren. Nagulat lang ako naghanap sila ng assistant coach… Sobrang dami nag-o-offer sa ibang bansa. Mas gusto ko sa Pilipinas, mas gusto ko patunayan sarili ko [dito.] Mas pinili ko ang AP Bren,” Trebor said.

Trebor was one of the crucial brains behind ECHO's climb to the world championship in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Rumors of his inclusion in Bren's lineup traced back to the team's team building in Japan, where Coach Trebor can be seen as a bystander at the sidelines. AP Bren, meanwhile, will retain its 6-man roster that won a local and a world championship last year.

MORE ROSTER REVEALS

Meanwhile, ECHO will have an 8-man lineup heading into MPL Season 13, bannered by two-time world champion Karl "KarlTzy" Nepomuceno, Alston "Sanji" Pabico, Sanford "SanFord" Vinuya and Jaypee "Jaypee" Cruz and Benedict "BennyQT" Gonzales.

They will be reinforced by their developmental league standouts Outplayed and Zaida. Ejj will be the lone rookie for ECHO. Archie "Tictac" Reyes will remain as the head coach; ECHO did not name a technical coach for the upcoming season.

Meanwhile, Jeniel "YellyHaze" Bata-anon will make his comeback as a player after coaching Minana EVOS for one season.

He will join holdovers Domeng, Kzen, Sumpak, and SpiderMilez as Minana fields in another 10-man team in hopes of rising from last season's 7th place finish.
