Handout/Manila Hustle 3x3.</span></span></span></div><div><br/></div><div><br/></div><p>MANILA -- Tokyo Dime and Discovery Perlas stamped their class early to gain automatic quarterfinal berths at Manila Hustle 3x3 Season 2 on Saturday at SM Mall of Asia Music Hall in Pasay City.</p><div><br/></div><p>Buoyed by Naoko Honda, Tokyo Dime swept Pool A with three huge victories.</p><div><br/></div><p>The Japanese crew were on fire early on, routing Bluefire LPG, 22-11. Though Uratex Tibay gave it a scare, 15-14, they maintained composure and delivered a 21-13 masterclass over Jumpshot of Singapore.</p><div><br/></div><p>On the other hand, former UAAP MVPs Allana Lim and Grace Irebu were solid for Discovery Perlas to top Pool B with a 3-0 record.</p><div><br/></div><p>The Philippine crew cruised to the final eight with a 21-16 win over Owls.EXE of Japan, a 21-12 domination of Shiv Nadar School of India, and a 21-6 demolition of Unicle of Korea. </p><div><br/></div><p>Meanwhile, moving on to the Round of 16 are Bluefire LPG (2-1) and Uratex Tibay (1-2) from Pool A, and Shiv Nadar School (2-1) and Owls.EXE (1-2). </p><div><br/></div><p>Bluefire LPG leaned on Camille Claro and Fina Tchuido to nab the 16-10 win over Jumpshot and a 16-11 nipping of Uratex Tibay, as SNS imposed its height over Unicle, 18-12, and Owls.EXE, 18-16.</p><div><br/></div><p>Uratex Tibay, behind Afril Bernardino and Spanish star Ari Geli, earned their lone win with a 21-7 blowout of Jumpshot, while Owls.EXE dominated Unicle, 21-4.</p><div><br/></div><p>Action continues as of press time with Pools C and D with six more spots up for grabs for the playoffs set on Sunday, with a USD 3,000 cash prize awaiting the champion, USD 2,000 for the runner-up, and USD 1,000 for the third placer. </p><div><br/></div><p>The tournament will be streamed live for free and open to all networks on the Smart Livestream app, with Smart Sports and Puso Pilipinas as official media partners.</p><div><br/></div><div><br/></div>
