Game 2 of the series set a new attendance record as over 24,000 fans packed the Araneta Coliseum to watch the Cool Smashers win the title in a five-set marathon.But Creamline captain Alyssa Valdez points out that it is &quot;always harder to defend a crown.&quot;&quot;It&#x27;s always hard to be consistent, but with all these girls being very, very competitive, I guess, hopefully we reach our goals also this year,&quot; Valdez said Thursday, during an event wherein Creamline and Choco Mucho inked a deal with a new sponsor.For new Choco Mucho captain Maddie Madayag, their run to the finals of the previous conference should only fuel them in the new season.&quot;I think we take it as an inspiration, especially since we have new members in the team who will help us grow and play better. We&#x27;re very excited,&quot; she said.Making the players all the more eager for the new season to start is the busy PVL offseason that saw several stars change teams, while they also welcomed a new club into the fold.Valdez and Madayag believe that the player movement will be &quot;beneficial for the whole league.&quot;&quot;This is the challenge na magbibigay ulit sa amin ng excitement, hindi lang sa mga players but all the fans, all the volleyball community,&quot; said Valdez.
