MANILA – Hitter Ivy Lacsina revealed that she had friction with the setters in Nxled after their three-game collapse in the 2024 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference.

The Chameleons previously lost their first three assignments in the tourney, all in straight sets against Choco Mucho, PLDT, and Cignal.

Siguro 'yung connection lang kasi sobrang sobrang dami naming pinagdaanan ni [Kamille] Cal, Maji [Maji Mangulabnan] para lang mag-connect talaga kami," Lacsina shared after a 25-21, 25-18, 25-15 triumph against Galeries on Tuesday at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.

(My trust for my setters wasn't gone. Maybe it's the connection because we had to go through a lot with Kamille Cal and Maji Mangulabnan for us to connect.)

Ayun po," the National University (NU) product added.

(Actually, we fought a lot. But that's it, I need to adjust to them. So this week, I said, "I will adjust to them.")

Adjustments paid off as their connection became better, said Lacsina, after clinching their first win in the volleyball tilt and as they aim to notch more.

(Yes, the connection is better now but it is still not a hundred percent. Of course, we cannot stop at this. We will still face stronger teams in the league.)

Lacsina said the team was also reminded to have fun while inside the court.

(For me, maybe it's not about what we don't have, but we lacked teamwork and enjoyment in the past few games where we lost. So a while ago, we were reminded that we should enjoy the match and it bore fruit.)
