<div dir="ltr" style="caret-color:rgb(0, 0, 0);color:rgb(0, 0, 0);-webkit-tap-highlight-color:rgba(26, 26, 26, 0.3);-webkit-text-size-adjust:auto;line-height:1.38;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt"><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:960px"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1711289413907IMG_3252.jpeg" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left">The 2024 NBTC Division 1 champions Fil-Am Nation. <em>Photo from NBTC.</em></span></span></span></div><p>MANILA — Fil-Am Nation Select USA cemented its spot at the top of the 2024 National Basketball Training Center (NBTC) Division 1 after its win in the Finals.</p><p>The global squad defeated the UAAP Season 86 high school basketball champions Adamson Baby Falcons, 79-71, on Sunday at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.</p><p>Filipino young star Andy Gemao finished with 16 points, six rebounds, and four assists to lead his team, while Terrence Hill backstopped him with 12 markers, tallied five assists, and grabbed four boards as Fil-Am Nation became the first global squad to win the title in Division 1. </p><p>Down by 10, 60-50, in the final quarter, Adamson made a late surge which allowed them to tie the game at 68 apiece following a basket from Johnrey Abayon.</p><p>Jacob Bayla quickly answered with a strong and-one to increase their lead to 71-68, while Hill’s basket in their next possession resulted in Fil-Am leading by two possessions, 73-68.</p><p>Tebol Garcia split his charities and cut their deficit two four, 73-69, but Callum Harris and Hill delivered the closing blows in the final minutes to finally fend off the San Marcelino-based team and clinch the title.</p><p>Meanwhile, Harris was named the Ato Badolato Division 1 Most Outstanding Player.</p><p>The 6-foot-2 guard normed 17.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 4.9 assists, and these numbers earned him a spot in the Mythical Team as well.</p><p>Joining him on the list are Tebol, Vince Reyes, Bayla, and Gemao. </p><div><br/></div><div><br/></div><div><br/></div>
