MANILA — Barangay Ginebra San Miguel star Scottie Thompson and his wife Jinky welcomed their second baby, whom they named Schyler Austin, earlier on Tuesday.

The couple announced the happy occasion on Scottie’s Instagram account with the one-time PBA MVP sharing some photos of his newest child.

“Say hello to the world Schyler Autin Thompson! Kuya Aster Thompson is so happy to finally meet you!,” the Ginebra mainstay penned, while also sharing a message for his wife. 

“Thank you Lord for blessing us another bundle of joy. Thank you Lord for giving us such a loving and caring wife and a mother! To my wife, Thank you for all of your sacrifices. I see all of your pain, struggles, and swing of your emotions but you still manage na intindihin ako sa lahat ng mga shortcomings ko.” 

“Thank you for everything my love! I promise na mas iintindihin kita specially this post-partum period mo. I promise to care of you at babies natin habang nagrerecover ka! We love you so much mommy,” he added.

Scottie is currently out of the Gin Kings’ active roster as he is dealing with a back injury, meaning that for the meantime, he has the time to help Jinky recover after she gave birth.

Thompson married Jinky in June 2021, though the basketball player did not confirm the development until October of that year. They welcomed their firstborn, Scot Alystair, in May 2023.
