Nangibabaw yung puso and tapang namin today kaya nakuha namin yung panalo,&quot; she continued.</p><p>The 5-foot-5 Poyos, whose 22 markers were built on 18 attacks, three blocks, and an ace, provided the firepower for her team as they fended off the La Salle side that welcomed back its own star Angel Canino who missed five outings due to a right arm injury.</p><p>This resulted in the Bohol native receiving &quot;MVP&quot; chants during the game, but Poyos said that this is not what matters to her.</p><p>&quot;No expectations naman na makuha ko yung award,&quot; said Poyos. &quot;Thankful ako sa kanila na nagsisigawan sila kanina, pero bonus na lang siguro yun kung sakali man.&quot;</p><p>If she is to receive the league&#x27;s top honor, Poyos will be following in the footsteps of National University&#x27;s Bella Belen and Canino, who were rookie-MVPs in Seasons 84 and 85, respectively.</p><div style="margin-bottom:0px;line-height:normal;-webkit-text-stroke-width:0px;-webkit-text-stroke-color:rgb(0, 0, 0);min-height:13.8px"><span></span></div><div style="margin-bottom:0px;line-height:normal;-webkit-text-stroke-width:0px;-webkit-text-stroke-color:rgb(0, 0, 0);min-height:13.8px"><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:958px"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1714282459212IMG_3633.jpeg" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left">UST’s Angge Poyos. <em id="isPasted">Photo from UAAP Media.</em></span></span></span></div><p>However, what she wants most is to get the UAAP women’s volleyball title back to España.</p><p>&quot;Basta importante para sa akin is yung championship and yun talaga yung pinaka-main goal namin this season,&quot; she said. </p><p>UST will need to defeat La Salle once more if they aim to enter the Season 86 Finals. Fortunately for them, they will have two chances to settle their affair with the defending champions.</p><p>The first game of their semis pairing will be held next Sunday, May 5, 4 PM at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.</p><div><br/></div><div style="margin-bottom:0px;line-height:normal;-webkit-text-stroke-width:0px;-webkit-text-stroke-color:rgb(0, 0, 0)"><br/></div>
