This was UP's fifth straight win, and they also snapped the Golden Booters' five-game unbeaten run in the second round. UP reclaimed top spot in the standings with 27 points and a plus-14 goal difference while UST remained locked in third place with 20 points and a plus-11 GD.

Both teams' Final 4 opponents will depend on the Far Eastern University-University of the East clash this Thursday at 4 p.m. at the same venue.

A win for the Tamaraws will ensure that the Fighting Maroons and the Golden Booters will face each other again in the semifinal.
