I&#x27;m very grateful to be back in the Philippines,&quot; said the six-time PBA Champion who was present during the FEU Lady Tamaraws&#x27; match against the Ateneo Blue Eagles last week.&quot;I&#x27;m honored, humbled, and a little anxious about the whole experience. It&#x27;s been a dream of mine to come back to the Philippines and have some impact on the game of basketball,&quot; he added.The former Alaska Aces superstar has already conducted a few practices with his new squad, and so far, he is liking what he saw from FEU. &quot;So far, it&#x27;s been absolutely wonderful. My whole career in the Philippines has been an amazing blessing on so many levels. Winning championships with Alaska, having amazing teammates, coaching staff, owner in Mr. [Wilfred] Uytengsu. It&#x27;s just always been a blessing to be in this amazing country which I consider my second home,&quot; he said of his return to the country.&quot;So far, I&#x27;ve been able to attend three practices and I&#x27;m just trying to get to know the players, getting to know the ins and outs of the UAAP. I have a bit of a learning curve to know what&#x27;s successful and what&#x27;s gonna be successful here,&quot; he added, Chambers also shared some of the things that they have tackled in his meetings with the Tamaraws.&quot;I promised the guys, I&#x27;m not called &#x27;Mr. 100%&#x27; just by accident,&quot; bared Chambers. &quot;I guarantee that I&#x27;m going to be the hardest-working coach in the UAAP. Nothing to take away from the current coaches who are here, but I just know what&#x27;s in my court, and what&#x27;s in my court is to give 110% on whatever I do.&quot; And with this, Chambers is hoping to quickly FEU&#x27;s program for them to return to their status as one of the UAAP&#x27;s contenders.&quot;I&#x27;m trying to curb my expectations, but I don&#x27;t expect the turnaround to take that long. I want to have an instant impact on so many different levels, and I think we can do that. Just minor details, fundamentals of the game, and playing for one another,&quot; he explained.However, he emphasized that much like how they did it in Alaska, Chambers wants FEU to compete and get stronger in the right manner.&quot;First and foremost, [we&#x27;re] really doing everything with integrity. We&#x27;re gonna do everything while putting the university first and foremost as our goal. Next is that we&#x27;re gonna be accountable for one another,&quot; Chambers explained.&quot;We want everybody to be accountable not only to their teammates but also to the university. We&#x27;re gonna work hard and we&#x27;re gonna prepare like crazy.&quot;&quot;As we say with Alaska, the will to win is important but the will to prepare is vital. That&#x27;s what we&#x27;re gonna bring to the table — just details, a matter of details,&quot; he continued.<div>A reunion of sorts</div><div><ivs-player data-ivs-key="e8c22c015ca9eafa76f1e3edfa03c603" data-ivs-spid="3001339" data-ivs-vid="3008047"></ivs-player> <script src="https://player.ivideosmart.com/ivsplayer/v4/dist/js/loader.js"></script></div>Chambers, whose decision to accept the FEU&#x27;s coaching gig was guided by Aces owner Uytengsu, will also be reuniting with fellow Alaska superstar Johnny Abarrientos.And when asked if he were to bring the playbook of the former PBA squad, this is what Chambers had to offer: &quot;Now, of course, everybody wants to know: &#x27;Are we gonna run the triangle?&#x27; We&#x27;ll run the triangle but it&#x27;s a little bit with Sean Chambers flair. It won&#x27;t look like Coach Tim Cone&#x27;s but it&#x27;ll be similar in some aspects.&quot; But for now, Chambers&#x27; focus is to get settled in the Philippines again while also slowly but effectively embracing the Tamaraws&#x27; culture and brand of basketball.Fortunately, Johnny A is here for Mr. 100%&quot;Johnny is not only one of the greatest FEU players but one of the greatest players in history to play in the Philippines,&quot; said Chambers.&quot;I&#x27;m so lucky because Johnny A, when I first arrived, he was one of the first to come to my apartment. He brought me pomelo, so he brought me food. Johnny&#x27;s been very supportive,&quot; he revealed.&quot;He knows the triangle. He knows the way I like to implement things. He&#x27;s been my voice when I sometimes can&#x27;t say the words in Tagalog, Johnny&#x27;s been able to explain it for me but I told the guys: &#x27;Don&#x27;t worry, I&#x27;m gonna learn Tagalog as much as I can so I can go back and forth with them.&#x27;&quot;&quot;Johnny&#x27;s been Johnny A. He&#x27;s been just great and I think that kind of helps with the transition having him there,&quot; he ended.
