MANILA - From Minana EVOS' fall up to its gradual rise, MPL Philippines veteran Jeniel "YellyHaze" Bata-anon has remained a constant presence in the team

YellyHaze and the rest of the White Tigers are back in the playoffs picture for MPL Season 13, thanks to some adjustments the team made in its management and coaching style, paired with sacrifices.

Speaking to ABS-CBN News, YellyHaze said he's glad to witness the franchise slowly get back on their feet.

"Sobrang thankful kasi nakapagplayoffs ako dito sa MInana kasi last 2 [years] laging kulang. Iba yung effort na binigay namin ngayon. Sobrang dami naming sacrifices ng bawat isa," the 2019 SEA Games gold medalist shared.

The White Tigers missed the playoffs since Minana EVOS was still under the Nexplay banner, last appearing in the final 6 during MPL Season 9. Last season, YellyHaze moved to an assistant coach position before being placed back into its roster.

Minana EVOS made some changes into their management and coaching style, which YellyHaze believes paid dividends in their playoff hunt. As a wakeup call from the last four seasons, the new management often had to lash out at their players and even coaches.

As a longstanding veteran, YellyHaze tried to uplift his teammates in the Land of Dawn and empower them. Such was the case when he gave way to Perkz as the team's main shotcaller.

Kailangan double effort kami mas marami preparations compared to the previous season," YellyHaze shared.

Minana EVOS is one of 6 teams qualified for the MPL Season 13 playoffs, to be held at SM Southmall from May 22 to26.
