<div style="margin-bottom:0px;line-height:normal;-webkit-text-stroke-width:0px;-webkit-text-stroke-color:rgb(0, 0, 0)"><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:960px"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1716133609892IMG_3936.jpeg" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:center"><span contenteditable="true" id="isPasted" style="text-align:left">San Miguel sniper Marcio Lassiter against Rain or Shine. <em>Photo from PBA Images.</em></span></span></span></span></div><p>MANILA — The San Miguel Beermen&#x27;s victory over the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters on Sunday not only put them up 2-0 in the 2024 PBA Philippine Cup semifinals -- it also allowed one of its stars to make more history.</p><p>Marcio Lassiter, who made two three-pointers in their 106-89 win on Sunday, surpassed Barangay Ginebra San Miguel&#x27;s LA Tenorio as No.3 in the league&#x27;s all-time three-point leader list as &#x27;Super Marcio&#x27; made his 1219th triple in his career.</p><div><a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/sports/2024/5/19/fajardo-powers-san-miguel-to-semis-lead-over-ros-2026">READ: June Mar Fajardo powers San Miguel&#x27;s dominance over RoS for 2-0 semis lead</a></div><p>After moving past Tenorio, Lassiter had nothing but kind words to offer for his fellow former Gilas Pilipinas gunner.</p><p>&quot;First of all, I thank the Lord above for blessing me, [allowing me] to continue to play at a high level, and staying healthy for the most part,&quot; he told a few reporters at the Mall of Asia Arena.</p><p>&quot;But just to be in the same breath as LA — once again, one of the true legends and greatest point guards in the PBA — when I came to the league, I looked up to him, so it&#x27;s great to just be in the same sentence with him.&quot;</p><p>&quot;I&#x27;m just truly honored, and hopefully, I could just keep going. I don&#x27;t know how long it would go on, but we&#x27;ll see,&quot; he continued.</p><p>Lassiter said that he does not really think about the list, especially as he is just living up to his calling card.</p><p>But he admits that it is quite hard to ignore such feats.</p><p>&quot;I try not to think about it, but it&#x27;s kind of hard when I keep looking up &#x27;Oh, there goes my numbers again.&#x27; But mentally, I&#x27;ve had the same approach as &#x27;Next Play&#x27; mentality,&quot; he pointed out.</p><p>&quot;If I keep on doing that, I can continue to just focus on the present and not the past or what has happened.&quot;</p><p>With 1,219 career three-pointers, Marcio is now only 24 makes away from beating Allan Caidic&#x27;s 1,242 and another eight to overtake Jimmy Alapag&#x27;s 1,250 — both of which he considers as the greatest Filipino shooters of all time.</p><p>&quot;The next two are great legends, obviously, two GOATs.
