Photo by Maria Tan, ABS-CBN News </div>MANILA (UPDATED) – Alas Pilipinas clinched a spot in the semifinals of the 2024 AVC Challenge Cup after beating Iran, 25-16, 25-13, 25-15 on Saturday at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum. It was the Philippines&#x27; third win in preliminaries after four-set triumphs over Australia and India in Pool A. Angel Canino again led the Alas firepower with 16 points on 11 attacks, three aces, and two blocks, while Sisi Rondina captured Best Player of the Game nod after chipping in 12 markers for the home team. Philippines also rose to rank 57 from 60th place after the victory. The game was Alas-coded as they demolished Iranians in straight sets in only one hour, 22 minutes—which can be attributed to the team&#x27;s adjustments and players doing their roles, according to Rondina. &quot;Alam niyo, na-amaze ako sa mga teammates namin ngayon kasi ang bilis mag-adjust and parang pare-pareho lang kami talaga ng role. Kung ano &#x27;yung kailangan gawin, pinupunan. And which is, ang bilis na rin maka-adjust.
