Photo from UAAP Media.</div>MANILA (UPDATED) — Far Eastern University’s UAAP Season 86 women’s volleyball Final Four campaign remains alive.This, after the Lady Tamaraws stunned top-seeded National University, 25-23, 25-17, 25-23, during their Final Four clash on Saturday at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.Manolo Refugia’s squad was able to force a decider after they swept National U all thanks to the efforts of Chen Tagaod who had 12 points and 10 receptions, Jean Asis who finished with 11 markers, and Mitzi Panangin’s 10 points that were built on four attacks, four blocks, and two aces.Faida Bakanke who tallied eight, also proved to be vital in the victory as she converted on the attack that won the game, while Tin Ubaldo displayed her playmaking skills as she posted 16 excellent sets alongside six markers.“Talagang ginusto talaga namin. Pumunta kami, nag ensayo kami, ginusto talaga nila. Naniwala sila na kaya nila, na kaya ng team, na kaya namin lahat na talunin talaga yun NU,” said Refugia after the game, whose squad absorbed two defeats against NU in the eliminations’ two rounds.After already winning the first two frames, the fourth-seeded Lady Tamaraws fiercely opened the third canto as they fired a seven-to-nothing spurt to maintain their momentum.The Lady Bulldogs were able to close in on their Jhocson-based counterparts as they cut the lead to one late in the game, but Bakanke took charge in the clutch as she delivered the game-clinching kill to seal the game.Bella Belen led NU with 12 markers and Vange Alinsug and Alyssa Solomon followed with eight markers each. The Lady Bulldogs committed 25 errors, five more than the Lady Tamaraws. This was NU&#x27;s first loss after completing a seven-game sweep of the second round.The two squads will end their semifinals affair on Wednesday at the same venue, with the winner advancing to the best-of-3 finals.
