MANILA -- Blacklist International allowed its League of Legends: Wild Rift team G2 Blacklist to "explore options in other game titles" after the game's own official league pulled out of Asia-Pacific.

In a statement, Blacklist International said it offered guidance and financial support "in exploring other options in other gaming titles."

"After Riot made its announcement on the future of the WRL, putting our players and team staff first was our top priority. In this transition period, we supported them financially and guided them in exploring options in other game titles. Official announcements regarding the next steps of their careers will be shared soon," Blacklist International said in a statement.

Blacklist International initially partnered with European organization G2 Esports in crafting their own Wild Rift team in the Philippines.

The team, consisting of players from Nigma Galaxy, was a consistent force in the Philippine Wild Rift scene, as they barged into the WRL finals consistently over its brief two season tenure.

Most of the team's players are currently competing in the Honor of Kings Invitational Season 2 - SEA Last Chance Qualifier, where a chance to qualify for the Esports World Cup in Saudi Arabia awaits.

Honor of Kings is published by Tencent Games, where Riot Games is a subsidiary.
