MANILA (UPDATED) -- Liquid ECHO on Wednesday afternoon opened their Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Mid-Season Cup knockouts campaign in style, defeating Myanmar's Falcon Esports, 3-1 in Boulevard Riyadh City, Saudi Arabia.

Liquid ECHO fired up on all cylinders in all three winning games, only dying four times in the games they've won

The Cavalry snowballed off the early game, as Karl "KarlTzy" Nepomuceno eked out a 4/1/3 kill-death-assist scorecard for the MVP citation on Julian.

Benedict "BennyQT" Gonzales marshaled the Cavalry in Game 2 behind a flawless 8/0/3 scorecard with Roger, accounting for more than half of Liquid ECHO's 14 kills in the map.

Falcon denied Liquid ECHO a sweep after a trump Zhask pick, catching the reigning MPL Philippines champs off guard as the Myanmar squad pulled up aggressively.

Liquid ECHO quickly bounced back in Game 5, denying Falcon a kill, 11-0 to barge into the semifinals within 12 minutes of play.

Now at the top 4, Liquid ECHO are assured of at least $200,000 (P26 million) in earnings for the entire tournament. With a larger prize pool than previous installments, MSC is being held as an Esports World Cup event partly-funded by the Saudi Arabian Government

Liquid ECHO will face either fellow Pinoys Falcons AP Bren or Cambodian squad SeeYouSoon for the first Grand Finals slot on Friday at 8 PM Philippine time.

Falcons AP Bren and SeeYouSoon will face each other on Thursday, July 10, at 4 PM Philippine time.
