<p>MANILA (<strong>UPDATED</strong>) -- Filipino-American big man Quentin Millora-Brown is joining the University of the Philippines for their campaign in the UAAP Season 87 men&#x27;s basketball tournament.</p><p>UP confirmed the development on Tuesday. Millora-Brown, a 6-foot-10 forward, is eligible for Season 87 as a &quot;one-and-done&quot; player.</p><p>Millora-Brown suited up for Citadel last year, averaging 11.2 points, 9.4 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.5 blocks. We are beyond happy and really excited to finally have him in the team for next season,&quot; said UP Office for Athletics and Sports Development director Bo Perasol.</p><p>Millora-Brown comes from a family of UP alumni, which had an impact on his decision to spend his final year in college with the Fighting Maroons.</p><p>&quot;My grandfather studied in UP. It&#x27;s his dream to see me don the Fighting Maroons jersey and play for his alma mater. Right now, I&#x27;m just really excited to meet everyone as we&#x27;ve been in touch even before the pandemic,&quot; he said.</p><p>&quot;Looking forward to spending time with my new teammates ahead of the UAAP season,&quot; he added.</p><p>He is expected to fill in the gap left by former UAAP Most Valuable Player Malick Diouf. He joins Nigerian Dikachi Udodo, Francis Lopez, Aldous Torculas, Gani Stevens, Sean Alter, Mark Belmonte, and Seven Gagate in the UP frontline.</p><p>&quot;Malaking bagay na naman para sa atin yung pagpasok niya kasi makakatulong siya to step up para sa pagkawala ni Malick,&quot; said UP head coach Goldwin Monteverde.</p><p>The transferee is slated to arrive in Manila this coming weekend and will be thrust right into training with the MBT, which is fresh off a weeks-long training camp in Serbia.</p><p>UP is coming off a second straight silver medal finish in UAAP Season 86, where they lost to De La Salle University in three games in the finals.
