Photo from PVL Images.</div>MANILA (UPDATED) — The Cignal HD Spikers tamed the Capital1 Solar Spikers to remain unblemished in the 2024 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Reinforced Conference.Cignal recorded a 25-20, 25-17, 23-25, 25-13 victory over the Solar Spikers on Saturday at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City to tally their third win in as many games in Pool B.MJ Perez led the Shaq Delos Santos-coached squad with 23 points on 20 attacks, two aces, and a block, as well as 15 receptions and 12 digs.Also stepping up for shorthanded HD Spikers were Jackie Acuña and Ces Molina who had 12 markers each, and Gel Cayuna who tossed 16 sets.&quot;Very thankful and proud ako sa team. Leading the way for them is import Marina Tushova’s 28 points as well as Roma Mae Doromal’s 18 digs and eight receptions.Following an upset defeat in the third set, Cignal went on a rousing start to the fourth and built an 18-9 advantage midway in the same to impose their presence.Capital1 slightly regained steam and cut the lead to seven, 20-13, but that was the closest that they could get as Jackie Acuña took over in the clutch by scoring three straight points while an error by Tushova ended the game. Earlier, after absorbing defeats in the first two sets, Capital1 created a 12-9 lead in the third as they looked to extend the contest.However, Cignal went on a 10-to-2 spurt which was capped by back-to-back off-the-block kills by Perez to lead over their counterparts, 19-14.The HD Spikers were even able to build a 21-17 lead later in the same frame, but Capital1 refused to give in just yet.The Solar Spikers eventually tied the game at 23, and an attack error from Cignal in the next play allowed Capital1 to overtake their opponents, 24-23.Tushova then converted a hit in their following possession, and this allowed them to steal the third frame and complete an eight-to-two spurt. Up next for the HD Spikers are the Angels whom they will be facing on Thursday, August 1, 1:00 p.m., at the same venue, while the Solar Spikers will try to return to the win column on the same day against the Choco Mucho Flying Titans at 3:00 p.m.<div> </div><div><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/P8NL3jjrZJs?&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe> </div>
