MANILA – Like anyone else, one would give importance to their career.

Johnmar "OhMyV33NUS" Villaluna, who also spoke on behalf of Danerie James "Wise" Del Rosario, chose to prioritize their own growth — which was ultimately the reason why they left Blacklist International to join Aurora Gaming.

She previously said in her farewell to Blacklist that "when it was time to go, [mafi-feel] mo naman eh."

Clearing the air on her team transfer, OhMyV33NUS said Saturday it was career opportunities that led them to that decision.

"Ayoko na kasi sa dilim, kaya nagpakuha na 'ko sa liwanag," OhMyV33NUS first said jokingly when asked why she signed up with Aurora.

"I chose Aurora kasi siguro mas maraming opportunity and naniniwala kasi ako na parang — naramdaman ko na kailangan ko na talagang umalis sa comfort zone ko," she said.

"Kasi feel ko, kung 'di ako aalis sa comfort zone ko, hindi magpa-progress or 'di maggo-grow 'yung career ko and career namin ni Wise," she went on.

Aurora, MPL Philippines' newest franchise, took on the slot of Minana Esports which left the league this month.

In its official Philippine launch in Parañaque City, Aurora unveiled its star-studded roster, which consists of ex-Blacklist stars Edward "Edward" Jay Dapadap, Renejay "Renejay" Barcarse, and Kenneth "Yue" Tadeo, former RSG Philippines jungler Jonard "Demonkite" Caranto, former Minana EVOS gold laner Domeng, and TNC Pro Team roamer Ben "Benthings" Maglaque.

V33wise will be taking on an ambassadorship role for the "Northern Lights."

"OhMyV33nus and Wise hold a pivotal position in Aurora's management team, where their responsibilities convey Aurora's of building an organization that is truly for the players and by the players," the team said.
