<p>MANILA -- Heads up, basketball fans!</p><p>PBA lowered the ticket prices for upper box and above sections at the Araneta Coliseum for the opening day of Season 49 on Sunday.</p><p>As part of the league&#x27;s celebration of its 49th year, those seats are now priced at only P49.</p><p>&quot;Being the 49th season, sabi ng Board why don&#x27;t we do something special sa opening day?&quot; said Board chairman Ricky Vargas.</p><p>Tickets will be on a first-come, first-served basis.</p><p>The holding of the 48th season Leo Awards kicks off the celebration of the new season at 4 p.m., where the MVP, Rookie of the Year, Mythical Teams, All-Defensive Team, Most Improved Player, and the Samboy Lim Sportsmanship award will be announced.</p><p>The formal opening ceremonies follow shortly after, highlighted by the traditional parade of teams together with their respective muses.</p><p>Meralco and Phoenix have already announced their respective muses as of writing.</p><p>Fresh from the Paris Games, the Bolts have named Olympic gymnast Aleah Finnegan as their muse, while Phoenix will have volleyball star Jema Galanza.</p><div><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/sports/2024/8/16/list-muses-of-pba-teams-for-league-s-49th-season-opener-1646"><strong>LIST: Muses of PBA teams for league&#x27;s 49th season opener<br/></strong></a></div><p>Magnolia and Meralco will take the spotlight shortly after the formalities at 7:30 p.m.</p><div><strong>RELATED VIDEO:</strong></div><div><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/RRjSkhqcBm0??si=FoZrXRyRqAb6bV95&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span></div>
