MANILA – NLEX finally ended its four-game dry spell in the 2024 PBA Governors' Cup.

The Road Warriors dominated also-ran Phoenix, 104-79, on Friday at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium, also keeping their quarterfinal bid alive.

They seized their fourth win in nine matches, edging fellow playoff-seeking Blackwater (3-5) in Group B standings.

"Alam naman nila kung gaano kaimportante 'yung laro ngayon para sa amin. Pero 'di pa naman kami automatic na papasok. Siyempre, depende rin sa Blackwater pero they realize the importance of this game," mentor Jong Uichico said during the postgame interview.
