PBA Images</div>MANILA (UPDATED) — The Converge FiberXers live to fight another day in the PBA Season 49 Governors&#x27; Cup. The Franco Atienza-mentored team erased a 27-point deficit en route to a 114-112 win against the San Miguel Beermen during their quarterfinals Game 3 clash, Monday evening at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium in Manila.Tied at 112 with six seconds remaining in the game, Alec Stockton — who was hailed as the Best Player of the Game with 20 points, eight assists, and seven rebounds — drained a pull-up, buzzer-beating jumper to steal the win and force Game 4. &quot;I&#x27;m speechless,&quot; said Stockton during the postgame presser, while also sharing how that attempt was set up. &quot;Coach drew it up for me. He trusted me to take the last shot, so I just believed in my shot. I&#x27;ve been working on that shot after every practice, so I just thank God that it came out this game,&quot; Alec detailed.&quot;Coach told us that if we&#x27;re gonna go down in this game, we&#x27;re gonna go down swinging. We had nothing to lose, we were down 0-2, so we just kept on fighting, and we just didn&#x27;t give up,&quot; added Stockton. They did not give up, indeed, as before the final play, both teams sat at 104 after Converge erased a 83-56 lead by San Miguel. Atienza said that this was a matter of his team refusing to give in despite the fact that they are up against the perennial powerhouse that is San Miguel. &quot;There are two words that we&#x27;re holding on to. First thing is hope. We were down, 0-2 but we&#x27;re not yet out.
