Photo from PBA Images.</div>MANILA (UPDATED) — The TNT Tropang GIGA triumphed over the Converge FiberXers in a fierce encounter in the PBA Season 49 Commissioner&#x27;s Cup on Saturday.The red-hot Chot Reyes-coached team won its fourth straight game after they outlasted Converge, 98-96, in their elimination round faceoff at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium in Manila.&quot;[Converge] is the best shooting team in the league, so our main concern was how we can maintain them and defend them,&quot; said TNT head coach Chot Reyes after the victory that pushed their record to 4-2 in the team standings. &quot;I thought we did a good job, and luckily, we were able to make two crucial stops in the end game,&quot; added Reyes.Heading the Tropang GIGA was Rondae Hollis-Jefferson who posted 31 points with 11 rebounds, four assists, two steals, and a rejection, while RR Pogoy finished with 22 markers (5/9 3pts) with five boards, two steals, and one dime.  Also standing out were former NCAA stars Rey Nambatac and Calvin Oftana as they provided support by scoring 13 and 12, respectively. As both teams were tied at 96 following a deuce by Hollis-Jefferson and a by Calvin Oftana, the former hit a tough fadeaway at the 1:07 mark to give TNT a crucial 98-96 lead with only 1:07 left in the contest.Converge had multiple chances to tie the game or even take the lead back in their next possessions, but Jordan Heading missed on his two attempts all thanks to the Tropang GIGA&#x27;s defense, and the FiberXers also did not manage to extend the game in the dying seconds as they failed to send TNT to the foul line.This eventually allowed Reyes&#x27; troops to escape with the victory while also cutting the FiberXers&#x27; win-streak at four as they now sit at 6-3 in the standings. Earlier in the contest, the Tropang GIGA went on an 11-to-nothing spurt to open the game which was capped off by a three-pointer by Hollis-Jefferson in the frame&#x27;s 9:36 mark.The FiberXers, however, did not let TNT run through them just like that, with Cheick Diallo, Justine Baltazar, and Alec Stockton lifting their team to tie the contest after the first 12 minutes of gameplay.The two squads then went on to exchange hits in the next quarters, but it was RHJ and the Tropang GIGA who managed to extend their win streak.Diallo had 37 points to lead all scorers while also grabbing 15 boards and rejecting two shots, and backstopping him was Baltazar who had one of his better games in his young PBA career with 17 markers to go along with six rebounds and two assists. <div>The Scores:</div>TNT 98 – Hollis-Jefferson 31, Pogoy 22, Nambatac 13, Oftana 12, Khobuntin 8, K.Williams 4, Aurin 3, Erram 3, Castro 2, Razon 0, Exciminiano 0, Galinato 0.Converge 96 – Diallo 37, Baltazar 17, Heading 12, Winston 11, Arana 9, Stockton 7, Racal 3, Santos 0, Delos Santos 0, Andrade 0, Nieto 0, Javillonar 0.Quarterscores:  27-27, 46-44, 77-79, 98-96.<div> </div><div>RELATED VIDEO:<script data-wid="auto" type="text/javascript" src="https://content.viralize.tv/display/?zid=AAEyze-tm4MR6kEa&amp;cid=ABS6coP5mOVsBUz9&amp;activation=click&amp;vip_mode=playing&amp;vip_position=bottom-right"></script></div>
