Photo from UAAP Media.MANILA — De La Salle University (DLSU) has lost another player due to an MCL tear in UAAP Season 88 in less than a week. Following Mason Amos who suffered the said injury last Sunday against National University (NU), Green Archers star Kean Baclaan met the same fate on Wednesday as his right knee was inadvertently hit by University of the East’s Wello Lingolingo. “This is what I prepared and worked hard for the whole year, and now it’s suddenly gone just like that,” wrote the former NU Bulldog in a social media post. “I just want to say that I’m out for the entire season, and this isn’t what I wanted or expected to happen. I cried so much last night and felt really down about my situation, but I just kept thinking about my future for my family and my career,” he added. Baclaan exited the game at the 4:21 mark of what eventually was a 111-110 overtime victory for La Salle, and he also needed to be put in a wheelchair to exit the Mall of Asia Arena. The Muntinlupa native was averaging 10.2 points, 4.2 assists, and 3.2 rebounds for the 3-3 Green Archers, and before exiting last night’s game, he already had 17 markers in their 21-point comeback. But while his first year in Taft Avenue has been derailed, Baclaan vowed to return better and stronger for his final season with La Salle next year. “To the DLSU community and everyone who’s been worried about me, I truly appreciate all your care and concern,” he said. “Thank you so much to everyone who messaged and called to check up on me. Please don’t worry I’ll come back stronger and finish my last year at DLSU.”</div>
