"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left">Lyceum of the Philippines University‘s Josh Moralejo against San Beda University in NCAA Season 101 at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum in Manila. <em>Photo by Angela Davocol/NCAA Philippines. </em></span></span></span>MANILA — When Lyceum of the Philippines University head coach Gilbert Malabanan was looking for a hero to avoid another late-game collapse, it was Josh Moralejo who answered the call for the Pirates.</div><p style="line-height:1.5">Not only did the veteran guard score all of his 24 points in the second half as they took down powerhouse San Beda University, 78-66, in NCAA Season 101 on Tuesday — Moralejo also scored 13 of his total production in the all-important fourth period.</p><div style="line-height:1.5"><a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/sports/basketball/2025/11/4/ncaa-moralejo-sizzles-as-lyceum-upsets-san-beda-1736">READ: Moralejo sizzles as Lyceum upsets San Beda</a></div><p style="line-height:1.5">“Sinabi ni coach na mag take charge na ako. So with the trust of my teammates, nagawa ko yun,” said Moralejo, who drained three crucial three-pointers plus a deuce to fend off the Red Lions.</p><p style="line-height:1.5">While this was only the Pirates’ second win in nine games, three of their defeats came in overtime fashion, and their previous loss to College of Saint Benilde came only after they squandered a 16-point cushion.</p><p style="line-height:1.5">Moralejo admitted that avoiding these has been their battle cry ever since, but he said that his motivation was more than their slow start.</p><p style="line-height:1.5">“Nagco-collapse kami sa dulo, and we made sure na hindi yun mangyayari ngayon,” he said. “Pero it’s also about being unpredictable much like last year, na kahit sino nagbe-best player.&quot;</p><p style="line-height:1.5">Lyceum reached the Final 4 in Season 100 due to their balanced attack, and Moralejo said that this approach would be their key to completely turn things around as they enter their last four assignments.</p><p style="line-height:1.5">“This year, laging sila Ato Barba or Renz Villegas lang nagawa, so kailangan naming ibalik yung enjoyment na yun, na lahat kaya mag step up,” he emphasized.</p><div style="line-height:1.5">“Masaya lang rin ako na napasama ako ngayon,” Moralejo added.<strong></strong><br/><strong></strong><br/><strong>RELATED VIDEO:</strong><br/><br/><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/A6jkyie0CpM?&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span><br/></div>
