Photo handout. MANILA — Leyte-Dream Big Leyte proved its opening day win is no fluke after it tallied another victory in the inaugural 2025 Milcu Sports x Got Skills Basketball U16 Talent Identification on Tuesday at the Greenhills West Clubhouse in San Juan.</div>Leyte cruised to another big win, this time against Bukidnon, 65-52, to remain unscathed and improved to 2-0 after they defeated NCR-Passion Sports on Monday.Bukidnon dropped to a 1-1 record.5-foot-3 guard Rowee Cabañero led the charge with an impressive double-double showing of 21 points and 11 steals together with four rebounds and two assists to pick up where he left off last game, where the 15-year-old baller dropped 17 points, seven assists, and four steals.It was all Leyte right from the get-go with the wards of head coach Cliff Tesocan even building a lead as big as 22 when Dexter Iwan completed a three-point play at the 1:40 mark of the third period, sending Leyte to a 53-31 cushion.Leyte never relinquished that separation, even as Bukidnon staged a late rally in the fourth by trimming a 58-38 deficit to just a 60-49 disadvantage.Iwan chipped in 12 points and eight rebounds while Francis Rosales posted 10 markers, eight boards, three assists, three steals, and two blocks.In another game, Pampanga also preserved its unbeaten record after dominating NCR-More Than Just Hoops (MTJH) with a 69-49 beatdown behind the troika of JC Canapi, Yujin Peña, and Gab Castro.Canapi led the scorers with 16 points alongside seven rebounds, two assists, and two steals while he was backstopped by the 13 and 12 markers from Peña and Castro.Pampanga improved to 2-0 in Group B while NCR-MTJH, which opened its campaign with a 69-63 win over Bulacan yesterday, fell to an even 1-1 card.Cavite and Cebu bounced back from their opening-day losses at the expense of still-winless clubs NCR-Passion Sports and Ilocos. Cavite pulled off a 59-53 win to improve to 1-1 in Group A while Cebu hacked out a 64-55 triumph over Ilocos to likewise improve to 1-1 in Group D.
