Photo handout, Milcu Sports.MANILA — Sky Jazul is living up to expectations in the Milcu Sports Got Skills U16 talent ID program.</div>The Ateneo de Manila University young star and PBA standout RJ Jazul has been leading NCR-Safestep to a 2-0 start in the tourney, with their latest win coming against Bacolod, 53-57, on Tuesday in San Juan.Jazul posted eight points, five assists, three steals, and one rebound to provide help to Lino Tubongbanua, who churned out 13 markers, four boards, three dimes, and two steals.Safestep improved to 2-0 to move a win away from sweeping Group D while Bacolod fell to a 1-1 card.The 14-year-old Jazul and 16-year-old Tubongbanua took the scoring cudgels in the fourth period with the former issuing a pass that led to the latter&#x27;s three-pointer and turned a slim five-point lead to a 44-36 cushion.Tubongbanua then converted back-to-back baskets before Jazul completed a floater that sent Safestep to a 52-39 advantage in the final minute. Bacolod, which was hoping to follow up on its 59-53 win over Cebu yesterday, staged a fightback and unloaded an 8-1 blast, but Safestep held on to bag its second win in as many games.Another NCR club posted a dominant victory with NCR-SGAxLGR dismantling Laguna with a 74-37 beating behind the efforts of Kieffer Panganiban and LJ Pascual as they zoomed to a 2-0 start in Group C.5-foot-10 Panganiban finished with 13 points laced with three rebounds, two steals, and one assist while 6-foot-1 Pascual tallied 12 markers, four boards, three steals, and two dimes.NCR-JHOOP, meanwhile, banked on the heroics of Zaq Dalaten as it continued its flawless run with an epic 49-46 victory against Muntinlupa to tie fellow NCR team SGAxLGR at 2-0 in Group C.Down 46-45, NCR-JHOOP had plenty of chances to get the lead back but it was Dalaten who allowed them to regain the upper hand, completing a three-point play after his own steal and a layup to give his side a 48-46 cushion with 3.8 seconds left.Raven Restificar then sealed the victory with a split.Dalaten finished with seven points, five rebounds, two assists, and three steals while Alejandro Sanz churned out 13 markers, five boards, and one dime.Bulacan barged into the win column after eking out a 55-40 win over Pangasinan to bounce back from a 69-63 loss to NCR-MTJH yesterday.
