<p>MANILA (UPDATED) — Jimly Lantaya, a former Colegio de San Juan de Letran big man, passed away on Saturday.</p><p>He was 24.</p><div><iframe class="instagram-media instagram-media-rendered" id="instagram-embed-0" src="https://www.instagram.com/p/DM1qUMETG8d/embed/captioned/?cr=1&amp;v=14&amp;wp=540&amp;rd=https%3A%2F%2Fod2-workbench-web.abs-cbn.com&amp;rp=%2F#%7B%22ci%22%3A0%2C%22os%22%3A13564011.099999994%7D" allowtransparency="true" allowfullscreen="" frameBorder="0" height="1086" data-instgrm-payload-id="instagram-media-payload-0" scrolling="no" style="background:white;max-width:540px;width:calc(100% - 2px);border-radius:3px;border:1px solid rgb(219, 219, 219);box-shadow:none;display:block;margin:0px 0px 12px;min-width:326px;padding:0px"></iframe></div><script async="" src="//www.instagram.com/embed.js"></script><p>Lantaya, 24, was a two-time NCAA Champion, a UAAP Juniors Champion with National University-Nazareth School, and a player for the GenSan Warriors in the MPBL and the South Cotabato Warriors in the PSL. </p><p>Lantaya was recovering from a heart procedure that he underwent last March and returned to his hometown General Santos City last June, according to his cousin Arche Leo Lantaya Amor.</p><p>“Okay naman po siya,” he shared. “Normal, masayahin, at parang walang opera nung nandito na siya sa amin. </p><p>Unfortunately, Lantaya was sent to the hospital again on Friday, August 1, after having feelings of discomfort anew, and he eventually passed away Saturday morning.</p><div>His former teammates mourned the passing of the 6-foot-9 center in emotional social media posts.<br/><br/><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1754109501283IMG_1087.jpeg" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/>“Thank you for all the times we shared, for all the happiness and sadness you were with us,” said Meralco Bolts guard and former Letran star Kurt Reyson.</div><div><iframe src="https://www.facebook.com/plugins/video.php?height=476&amp;href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fkurt.reyson%2Fvideos%2F656106106780279%2F&amp;show_text=true&amp;width=267&amp;t=0" width="267" height="591" style="border:none;overflow:hidden" scrolling="no" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><p>“No more pain kap!
